Perspectives

Am still a bit adrift--quiet and in my own world. The vase one of mine, a vintage Sascha Brastoff--mine is chipped and not collector quality--one that I love, I think it is the lines, the comfort I find in circles, a sense of being without begining or end, continous-and its imperfection- A friend of mine posted a painting of a vase of flowers-- his painting reminded me of this vase. A circular thought. The first photo--one of the vase with artistic filters, the second photo one of the vase on the dining room table.

Nice to have something, anything that has that small power over you, at times. When we had the antique store in Ohio, the Brastoff pieces always sold quickly and at prices that surprised us.

Steve,

Sometimes there is a connection to things, perhaps a talisman of sorts. Wishing you a Happy New Year, I have two Brastoff pieces, the other much larger and also chipped--both of them make me smile. :) brenda
